You are solely responsible for taking all precautions necessary and/or reasonable to protect yourself, your computer systems and other property from viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and other harmful content and code.
Lace and Button reserves the right not to publish customer testimonials if they;
- Publish abusive, offensive or harmful information to any group of people defined by race, religion, sexual orientation or others.
- Include a break to the computer security, like viruses
- Incorporate material that exploits underage children;
- Infringes the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of third parties;
- Generate discomfort to another user or third party
- Sell or promote garments not sold by Lace and Button;
- Invade the privacy or identity of others.
- Publish or transmit any advertising or promotional materials not requested;.
If you disagree with the following conditions you are not entitled to use Lace and Button’s services.
- If a comment is made using your identity or screen name it will be deemed to have been posted by you.
- Do not post abusive, obscene, threatening, harassing, defamatory, libellous, offensive or sexually explicit material.
- Do not make false or misleading statements.
- Do not offer to sell or buy any product or service, or post links to third party websites, unless expressly authorized to do so by Company in connection with a feature of the Services.
- Do not post material that infringes the intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights, or rights of publicity or privacy, of any third party.
- Do not post information that you know to be confidential or sensitive or otherwise in violation of any law, statute, rule, ordinance or regulation.
- Keep all comments relevant and “on topic” to the particular Service posting that is open for comments.
- You will not offer details which will identify you in your profile. Such details may include your address, phone number or email address.
- You agree that Lace and Button staff and or appointed or consented representatives of Lace and Button will be able to modify, view, amend or access and deal with anything that you post on to the site in any way seen to be positive and beneficial to Lace and Button’s users and the general community.
- Lace and Button staff will only modify, view, amend or access information which you present on the website when there is a specific purpose, for instance (but not limited to) when you are in breach of our conditions, you behave inappropriately or you pose a threat to other users.
In Store Orders
In store Orders are those that are placed after the one on one consultation.
Upon ordering, a non returnable 50% deposit will be required. The full balance of the account must be paid before collection. Deposits can be transferred to another purchase within the store or kept as a store credit. Processed and confirmed orders cannot be cancelled. Any deposit paid can be transferred to an alternative stock gown. Special Order dresses cannot be returned after you have received them, unless they have been inspected and confirmed as damaged or ‘not as ordered’.
In the event that the customer fails to pay the full purchase price of the order (the contract price) in accordance with the terms and conditioned herein Lace and Button shall be entitled to resell the goods after a period of 90 days from the date when the payment was due from the customer. There will be no refunds in such a circumstance.
After you have placed your order, you will receive an automatic email confirmation containing the details of your order. Once your order has been processed you will receive an email with the estimated delivery time. You can also check the status of your order anytime by emailing
firstname.lastname@example.org. When your order is shipped you will receive a notification email with the tracking number of your shipment. Please note that if your order has more than 1 item you may receive multiple shipments
Your Contact Information
Please confirm that your email address is accurate. A phone number is required should we need to contact you about your order.
All products are subject to availability. An estimated shipping date will be emailed to you as soon as you place your order. Available products usually ship from us within 7 business days.
Orders must be placed before 12pm EST in order to be processed the same business day. All orders placed after 12pm EST will be processed the next business day.
Special order dresses are products that are not in stock but can be ordered from the designer. When your order is processed we will provide an approximate ship date and once this is confirmed by you, your credit card or PayPal account will be charged. Special orders cancelled after confirmation are subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50%, as Special Orders are cut specifically for you!
Pre-Order means that an item is currently out of stock but is in production and will be available at a later date. When your order is processed we will provide an approximate ship date and once this is confirmed by you, your credit card or PayPal account will be charged. Please note that availability dates are subject to change. Pre-Orders cancelled after confirmation is subject to a cancellation fee of up to $50.
Your order can be cancelled without penalty so long as it has not been processed. Once an order has been processed and confirmed (payment verified and item ordered and invoiced by our designers) cancellations of in stock items will incur up to a $40 cancellation fee.
Once your order has shipped, you cannot cancel. Orders refused by customers will incur a restocking fee of up to 50% of the cost of the items in addition to shipping fees that will be debited from your account.
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so unlike most other special occasion retailers we accept returns for exchange or store credit if you are not 100 % satisfied.
With Lace and Button’s Return Policy, all we ask is that you send the items back to us in perfect condition and that you follow the return instructions emailed to you when you request a Return Authorization Reference Number. We take pride in our quality products and service and we value our relationship with you. Our goal is to make the returns process as simple as possible to make sure you look and feel your best for your big event.
In Store Purchases
In Store Purchases are made after you have had an hour to consult and try on the garments. Due to the nature of this purchase, returns are not accepted unless they can be proven to be defective within 15 days of purchase. No returns will be accepted after 15 days.
Putting Items on Hold
Lace and Button will hold a dress at no cost for 24hours. Should you need to hold a dress for a longer period, a non refundable $50 fee is to be paid. This has to correspond with an actual booking of an appointment. The $50 holding fee can be put towards the dress or as a store credit. $50 is to hold one dress only.
Sale and or Clearance Items
There are strictly no returns or refunds on gowns in the “Clearance or Sale” section . These gowns are sold as is, any defects if any are part of the dresses being sold at a discounted rate.
A Note About Sizing
All of our dresses are sized according to each designer’s specifications; therefore, the size you normally wear may not be the size you would wear in a dress from our site. Before you choose your size, we recommend looking at the size chart for the dress you are interested in to make sure you are choosing the best size for your measurements.
Returns for Online Purchases
Please contact us by email or phone within 7days of receiving your order to request your Return Authorization Reference Number. Please indicate that you want to exchange your purchase, and note the designer name, new style, color, size requested and your wear date.
If you received free domestic ground shipping on your order, a $10 shipping cost will be deducted from your processed exchange. Please note that you will still qualify for free standard shipping on any new order.
Please ship your return within 3 days of receiving your Return Authorisation Reference Number
Returns must be shipped back to us within 3 days of receiving your Return Authorisation Reference Number. You may use the shipping carrier of your choice for your return. All returns must be insured by the shipping carrier and sent “signature required”.
Please have your Return Authorization Reference Number clearly printed on the outside of the box. All products must be in the condition you received them and items must be unworn, unused, unwashed and in perfect condition, with the original product tags attached and garment bag intact to be accepted as a return. Any items that appear to have been worn or altered will be returned to you.
Processing time for Returns is 4-7 business days. Once processed, the exchange or store credit will be applied to your order. Our Store Credit never expires!
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are unsatisfied for any reason please let us know and we will make it right. Please contact us if you need us to help you with your return.
Our convenient in-store lay-by program gives you 90 days to pay for your dress. This service is only applicable for in store purchases only. It does not apply to SALE or CLEARANCE items, which only gives you a one month term to pay off the dress. Fortnight payments are required, unless stated otherwise by us in writing. An Initial payment of 30% is required to start a lay-by.
A Lay-by is a binding contract between the customer and Lace and Button.
No refunds or an exchange on any Lay-by’s if you simply change your mind. All floor stock will be checked with customer for quality control prior to purchasing. Faults if any will be noted in writing on invoice. If a Lay-by is not collected by the due date, we hold the right to cancel the Lay-by and return the item to the floor stock for re-sale. We will contact the customer by phone one week prior to returning the stock to the floor. STRICTLY NO REFUNDS OR STORE CREDIT FOR DEFAULTED LAY-BY ACCOUNTS.
The Terms and Conditions below are for the use of The Lace and Button Mailing List. Members can sign up via the website. Information collected from members will be used solely for The Lace and Button Mailing List. Lace and Button reserves the right to terminate and modify The Lace and Button Mailing List at any time. Lace and Button will not accept liability for any email communication that is lost or not received.
